This collection grew out of a weekend project that wouldn't stop. I modeled one low-poly F1 car during a race weekend in 2020, posted it, and people kept asking for more teams. So I kept going.

The constraint I set for myself was strict: every car uses the same base mesh with roughly 2,000 polygons. No subdivisions, no smoothing. The differences between cars come entirely from proportion tweaks, wing angles, and paint. It forced me to think about what actually makes a Mercedes look different from a Red Bull when you strip away all the detail. Turns out it's mostly the nose and the sidepod shape.

Each season got its own color grading. The 2020 set is cooler and more muted. By 2023, the palette shifted warmer to match how the actual liveries evolved. The grid-style presentation was inspired by old Scalextric box art, where you'd see all the cars lined up in a row with dramatic perspective.

I kept the same camera angle across all renders so you can compare cars directly. The lighting setup is two area lights at 45 degrees with a slight warm tint, plus a rim light from behind. Simple, consistent, and it lets the livery colors do the talking.
