Living Room

Interior Render

A photorealistic living room render with a gray sofa, monstera plant, and dancer art prints on the wall.

This started as a lighting exercise. I wanted to figure out how natural light behaves in a room full of mixed materials — fabric, wood, glass, and metal. The kind of space that feels quiet and lived-in.

I spent most of my time getting the sofa right. The gray fabric needed to look soft without losing shape, and the cushions have a slight compression to give the sense that someone actually uses this room. The purple curtains by the window add a bit of color contrast without taking over the scene.

The three dancer prints on the wall ended up anchoring the whole composition. They break up what would otherwise be a very neutral space and give the eye somewhere to land. The monstera plant and the round coffee table fill out the foreground. I pulled the overall mood from afternoon light in my own apartment — warm but not golden, with clean shadows.
