PlayStation 5

Product Render

Both PS5 editions with the DualSense controller and a glowing PlayStation logo. Dark, moody studio setup.

The PS5 has one of the strangest silhouettes in consumer electronics. It looks like it was designed by an architect who only works in curves. I wanted to render both editions side by side — disc and digital — in a dark studio environment that lets the white shell panels pop against the background.

The glowing PlayStation logo on the left was the finishing touch that tied the scene together. The blue glow casts a subtle light across the reflective floor and gives the whole composition a moody, cinematic feel. The DualSense controller sitting between the two consoles grounds the shot and adds a sense of scale.

The glossy black center panel on both units was the main challenge. Getting a mirror-like surface to reflect something interesting when there's not much around it means building the lighting purely for what it does to that strip. The white shell panels needed the opposite treatment: diffuse, soft, with just enough specularity to read as plastic rather than paper.
